The Office Part 1

My Office / Scraproom is a dumping ground for wayward stuff, and just stuff..plus I have a lot of scrapbooking supplies (that might be an understatement--depending on who you ask).
I would like to take up my hobby again. (More info about this room and stories can be found on my other blog at Crafty McCrafters

This part is happening Tomorrow Night (if I don't have a nap) and or Saturday Morning.
Clear a path to the closets and make room to empty closets (yes this drastic measure is necessary..I said dumping ground)
Find fiskars shape boss packaging to keep for reference. (this is more of a note to self..but helps to write it down.)

My office is roughly 11 x 11 it has two sunken closets. I has shelving 1 doesn't. It also has an older kitchen table that can seat six, my 1903 made in Hamilton Ontario beautiful really heavy (been told it is never moving again, it will stay with the house because it is so heavy) desk. 1 two drawer filing cabinet, 1 plastic utilty shelving unit with three shelfs. 1 book case in 1 of the closets, 2 rolling drawer carts, 2 trunk size rubbermaid (housing Christmas decorations) which has on top of it a piece of counter top housing scrapbooking supplies) 1 printer cart that has guess..yep more scrapbooking supplies. 2 office chairs (or really 1 new office chair..other one is antique), and that is about it for fixtures.


Closets
Goal to get rid of anything and everything. To create more storage space.
Closet closest to door.
Remove rubbermaids from the bottom and go thru later
remove all other debris from bottom of closet.
Vacuum bottom of closet
Start on bottom shelf
go thru each item on shelf and either toss, salvation army pile, or keep
Same for other two shelves.
Remove items that don't belong in the closet and take them to the place they belong


Farther Closet
Go thru book case and condense books
Either toss, keep or salvation army pile.
Go thru top shelf and empty as much as possible.
Remove items that don't belong in the closet and take them to the place they belong.


DESK
1 drawer at a time (5 in total)
empty drawer and go thru each item.
Decide what each drawer will house and designate that space and put things there.
PURGE
Hopefully be able to take some closet stuff and put in drawers
Top of desk
Go thru all items and put away.
Only things that should be on desk are computer equipment
Wipe down desk
Have Mason look at old office chair to figure out how to put casters on it.


Filing cabinet.
Go thru both drawers and get a shredding pile
Purge and be able to put stuff in filing cabinet.

Also have Mason get out new ceiling tiles. I might be able to install them as well.

Remove all garbage bags, recycling, Salvation army piles..etc.
And get ready for Part 2..
